The Continuum Project, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides innovative artistic programming for the enrichment and empowerment of communities.

The Continuum Project, Inc.. was officially born March 28, 2008, organically sprouting forth from the great success of IN THE CONTINUUM, a 2 person, 11 character play co-written by our co-founder, Nikkole Salter.

The power that simple, but profound production demonstrated in its ability to bridge a professional artistic aesthetic with community service while bringing people worlds apart together caused Ms. Salter to build a space where professional arts execution actively serves the community while linking people together.

Ms. Salter, with incredibly talented artists and professionals on board, partnered with African Ancestry, Inc. and Piper Theatre Production, Inc. to launch and facilitate The CP's first initiative - The Legacy Program: Residency - in Brooklyn, NY on March 2, 2009. The LP: Residency is currently in it's 6th Cycle and operates bi-annually at William Alexander Middle School 51 and The Math & Science Exploratory School in Brooklyn. The LP: Reflection - where the artists that facilitate the Residency create a professional art inspired by their experience with the Residency - launched June 25, 2010 with the first public concert reading of Glenn Gordon's RE:DEFINITION at the The Old Stone House. RE:DEFINITION, a play in rhythm and rhyme, received its workshop production by the Hip Hop Theater Festival on October 28-29th 2011 in NYC at La Mama. The Legacy Program: Residency was selected to be featured on the PBS series, "Finding Your Roots," hosted by Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. which aired April 29, 2012.
